Marie’s Garden
May 25, 2017Marie’s Garden, our first styled bridal shoot as team Amethyst! My partner, Stephen and I just launched our own wedding photography business, Amethyst Weddings. We shoot real weddings, editorials, and promote independent bridal brands. We were so blessed to collaborate with an incredible team to create this whimsical, Marie Antoinette inspired photo shoot. This shoot is pending publication, but the editor was gracious enough to let us share the images now.
The first look features couture feather gowns from my Swan Lake bridal collection. A dramatic ivory feather mermaid gown worn by model, Monique Brigham and a strapless A-line white feather gown worn by model, Susan Diaz. Both gowns are available to purchase on Etsy, custom made to measure. These amazing paper flowers were handmade by Iris Ruz or Iris Secret Garden Decor. Looks like something straight out of Alice in Wonderland! They are a perfect decoration of backdrop for weddings, bridal showers, and special occasions.
The model’s hair was styled by the talented Amanda Killen. Both of the models had wonderful, thick, long hair and I loved the dramatic updos, curls, and volume she created with their locks. Makeup is by Rayben Baltan. She added a wonderful pop of color to the model’s eyes. It created an exotic edge to the romantic feather dresses.
The second look features Peacock Feather dresses from my Xiaolin Couture Collection. A full length peacock feather gown worn by Monique and a mini peacock feather dress worn by Susan. Working on a dramatic peacock feather dress with train for a bride right now. I love being able to create gowns for peacock inspired weddings!
