This ostrich feather wedding gown was designed for the bride who seeks a blend of vintage aesthetic with the flair of modern haute couture. While I was designing my bridal collection I discovered that the romantic 70's style prairie gown cut paired delightfully with the oversized dramatic ostrich plumes I had stored in my atelier. Most bridal designers will feature bits and pieces of ostrich feathers if they choose to design with feathers, but I decided to keep these large and fluffy for the full effect. Full steam ahead and I decided to add a feathered bell sleeve as well for extra drama!

The feathers added not just drama, but movement to the gown. When I saw the model walk down the runway during dress rehearsal in this piece, I was awestruck. With each step the feathers bounced up then down as the dress's train floated down the runway.
